We are sadly having to rehome our 3 year old sweet border collie rescue that we got from Colorado puppy rescue. She and our 12 year old female lab are no longer getting along. Nellie is completely house trained and lets you know when she needs to go out. She is crate trained and loves the crate especially when she needs a little quiet. Nellie can be a bit shy and tentative at first. She is a bit of a nervous Nellie! We have been working hard on this and she is getting much better! She loves treats so she is very easy to train. She can sit , give her paw, lie down. She comes when we call. Were working on stay but she will stop on a walk when we need to releash. She has never ever run off. Nellie is in great health and is spayed and current on all of her shots. She takes heart worm medicine year round. And apoquel for allergies in the spring and summer. Weve got extra from last year. Nellie weighs about 50 lbs - medium sized. We think she would do best in a home where she is the only princess. She has never been exposed to cats. We dont have young children but weve had friends Visit with littles and she has done fine. She sleeps next to our bed or under our bed and has her own bed in the kitchen. She has free reign of the house during the day. She is well loved and we want to see her happy in a home where she will continue to thrive.

ABOUT ADOPTING FROM CPR: Adopters must be 21 years of age or older. Our puppies are only available at our adoption events. CPR does not reserve or take requests. Due to our limited foster homes, we cannot hold puppies for anyone nor can we board puppies after being adopted. Because of the overwhelming demands on our foster homes, all adoptions must be done on a first-signed up, first-served basis. Online signup will be available at 12:01am on adoption day until 30 minutes prior to the start of the event, at which time sign up will begin in person at The Hopeful Hound adoption center.   Sign up online HERE. A personal visit to our adoption event is required. We do not ship out of state.
